The Career Forum & Job Fair (IREX)

The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) would like to invite you to the Sixth Annual Edmund S. Muskie & Freedom Support Act (Muskie/FSA) Graduate Fellowship Programs and the Russian-US Young Leadership Fellows for Public Service Program Career Forum & Job Fair in Moscow. This event, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, provides a unique opportunity for corporations to meet and network with Russian graduates of university-level U.S. government-sponsored programs and independent graduates of U.S. universities.

Last year, over 30 Western and Russian companies including Ernst and Young (CIS) Limited, Charities Aid Foundation - Russia, CitiBank, KPMG, Project Harmony, A.Partners, Antal International Ltd., McKinsey and Company, Inc., Mars LLP, Analitic-Pravo, East-West Institute, Coleman Services Inc., Wimm-Bill-Dann, BLM-Consort met with approximately 180 qualified Russian applicants with degrees from American universities. Potential applicants from the Muskie/FSA program hold graduate degrees in Business Administration, Economics, Education Administration, Journalism and Communications, Law, Library and Information Science, Public Administration, and Public Policy. Russian Young Leader alumni have spent a year in US graduate-level programs with concentrations in Community Affairs, Governmental Affairs, or Corporate Affairs. Last year, potential applicants traveled from as far as Vladivostok to meet with potential employers.

The Career Forum & Job Fair will consist of a series of small workshops focusing on the Russian job market, a two-hour job fair, and a reception. Representatives of Western and Russian firms and organizations interested in meeting some of Russia's most highly trained and highly qualified people are invited to attend this annual event. All corporate representatives will receive a compendium and CD-Rom with the resumes of all registered attendees.

At present, a large number of Muskie/FSA alumni in Russia are employed by Russian local and regional governments; multi-lateral international assistance banks such as the World Bank, IFC, and EBRD; and Russian and Western businesses. Western corporations that presently employ Muskie/FSA alumni include Arthur Andersen, Citibank Corp., Ernst & Young, McKinsey & Company, Lukoil, MFK Renaissance, Philip Morris, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Audit, White & Case and Salomon Brothers.

By participating in the fair, you will have the opportunity to represent your company in Russia alongside other leading Russian and international organizations and attract the attention of not only potential employees, but also that of new, useful contacts for the future development of your company.
